The friendly receptionist, who doubled as the bar staff, truly made me feel welcomed, sharing stories and local tips that enhanced my experience. I was lucky to have a room with partial river views and a lovely little terrace where I could unwind with a drink in the evening, soaking up the serene atmosphere. While the older facilities showed some wear and tear, I found everything I needed was still quite comfortable—heating, cable TV, and a private bathroom ensured a pleasant stay. The food at the on-site restaurant was delicious, though we did have a bit of a wait for it, highlighting that they might not have been fully prepared for the holiday rush. Nevertheless, it was a small price to pay for a tasty meal and a friendly vibe. All in all, Soltejo was a charming addition to my journey, and I left with wonderful memories of both the beautiful setting and the warmth of its staff.
